What is the difference between Afternoon Tea and High Tea

Apparently not drink regular tea. In recent history, the technical term English Afternoon Tea and High Tea. Both are describing a group of elite British activities that are enjoyed drinking the afternoon (Afternoon Tea or High Tea).

The term high tea drinking tea party was impressed that originated from the Aristocrat. As I quoted from Wikipedia and some other sites. Afternoon Tea was first introduced by Anna, Duchee Of Bedfort in the 1800s. Due to the princess had to wait for the new night time will be served around 9 pm when the evening before, he asked for tea and bread and baked cookies. Then, he sent invitations to friends to enjoy drinking tea together from here that the technical term is Afternoon Tea, which becomes a habit and a new lifestyle among the British aristocracy.

Classic Afternoon Tea served in a relaxed, yet elegant. Each guest sat round the table are smaller and lower than the table, so there is also a term called Low Tea.
Another definition of High Tea. This term originated 'owned' English workers who labor after work, 7 o'clock in the evening, feeling very tired and hungry. Upon arriving home, hindangan langkap, including tea, served on the high table (high), filled with bread, cheese, salads and meat dishes more 'weight'. No more after dinner. High Tea in the UK, often also called the Meat Tea because of several choices of meat in the menu.

So High is often misleading, as if describing something luxurious. Though the term for the classic tea party style of English is an elegant Afternoon Tea.
